The Lunar Olympics is an independent case-study in response to my design brief from the Virtual On-site Activity for NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS). I approached the research and design from a UX/UI perspective to create a mission plan that would yield a high science return while also aligning with NASA’s stated goals and brand. To expand the usability of the mission, I designed something that would work outside the scope of the educational simulation but inside the realm of possibility. This case-study is a hybrid of the game simulation with a proposal built in.

PROBLEM STATEMENT:

How might we design a low-cost high-reward moon mission while uniting student STEM workers with mentors and job opportunities?

SOLUTIONS:

Design a moon mission and a non-profit organization that supports STEM students to find mentors and work opportunities needed to accomplish the moon mission.
